MEET KATE HUBBEN
I started practicing yoga in 2008 and immediately felt like it was the first time that my head and body felt connected. I tend to throw myself into things so I did Bikram yoga, went to Wanderlust, went to yoga retreats led by Amy Ippoliti, Jason Crandell, and then finally bit the bullet and took the 200-hour Teacher Training with Tami Schneider at Cleveland Yoga. Tami hired me as a teacher at Beachwood and Little Italy. I was in the best shape of my life and felt grounded and strong from my daily meditation and yoga practice. And then life took a little detour.
In 2018, I broke my leg walking my dog and tore my rotator cuff while fake rock climbing at a gym. In 2019, I had foot surgery and in 2021 I got Covid and battled Chronic Airway Disease for two years, aka Long Covid. Shout out to my fellow Long Covid sufferers--many of whom are still battling it. During this time, I still showed up on my mat. I continued to teach and learned more about humility. I could not do many poses but the discipline of the practice helped me and again, reconnected my body and mind. It is a practice. Meet your body where it is right now, I am. Please join me.

When I started taking Kate's classes, I was the least flexible person on earth. I can touch my toes now! I am stronger and it makes my day so much better when I take her class.
Jean*-North Carolina
I go to her Zoom class every week and she gives me detailed instructions and I love the community she has created. Women at every age, all size and shapes come to class.
